Whoo Hoo! A Week Off!

Ok...last week was awful! Yes, I got to do lots of fun stuff, but I had to drive to St Louis 3 times to get it done. When you consider that my bedtime is 10pm and that I had to be up waaaaay later than that, it's a miracle that I didn't drop dead! On Monday night we got to go to a Cardinal baseball game. My brother Michael scored us the tickets in a Diamond Box (he knows a Doctor!) We were nine rows off the field. Lindsey got to hug Fredbird...she was pretty stoked about that! We were on the jumbotron in the stadium & Tim let us know that he saw us on TV...neat, except when you see us & we have been baking at 98* for a few hours & we look pitiful! The Cards choked & lost the game & we got home around midnight. On Tuesday I took Tori & Lindsey & Paige & Beth (2 of Lindy's friends) to the Jonas Brothers concert...OH.MY.GOODNESS! What was I thinking?!? It wasn't as hot though & we had pretty good seats, even if we did have lawn seats. We were on a hill & had a good view of the stage & there was a good breeze. But there were too many screaming girls & of course Lindy & pals were wound tight & wouldn't calm down at all, so I got to hear yelling all the way home...in busy St Louis traffic...late at night...I wasn't amused! It was kinda neat to see all the kids so excited & singing along though. They have a tour bus that they let the fans sign...Lindy kissed it...Beth licked it...big ol lick...not just a little bitty one...ugh! We got home around 2am on that little excursion! On Thursday we went to Six Flags..six flags...more fun! Ok...can I just say that I hate this guy...I want the little old bald dancing man back! It started raining about 20 minutes before we got there & continued to rain for quite some time after we got there. We toughed it out & it was kinda neat...although I've been told that we didn't have sense enough to come in out of the rain!...i've never been to the park in the rain & it wasn't very crowded. We were able to get on most rides right away...Batman kinda hurt. Rain feels like needles when you are going 55 mph in it. The Ninja really hurt...not only were we pelted, but you get beat half to death riding it too! We all looked like drowned rats...Marvin the Martian creeped out Lindy...be sure & ask her about it! We got to ride almost every ride...some more than once...and left the park at 7pm. We stoped in Fenton to grab some grub & stopped by Maggie Moo's for ice creamy goodness to end the night. I have found out that I am officially old...I feel like 17 on a good day, but after that week I was moving like I was 77! I came into work & Larry laughed at me. My back, legs & feet hurt & I have 5 bruises...needless to say, I was moving slow! I slept until 12:30 on Saturday. I'm really glad that I got to do all of that stuff, but am really wishing that it could have been spread out over more time! This week is just VBS...at least I could still be in bed by my bedtime every night!

WOw, I'm exhausted just reading it all! Don't know how you did it....

Just FYI, I don't think I could have handled all that girly screaming all through the concert and then all the way home from St Louis...you ROCK!
